Shalaya Loeppky
B.A. Music, RCM Certified Teacher
Hi! My name is Shalaya, and I love helping people discover the joy of music! I have been playing piano since the age of 3 and have been teaching music in private, classroom, and group settings since 2021.
I have a Music Diploma from Douglas College, a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Victoria, and am a Royal Conservatory of Music Certified Teacher (Elementary Specialty). My goal with music education is to enrich student's love for music and give them the tools that they need to accomplish their goals and enhance their creativity
Get to Know Me
I grew up in a very musical family, so music has always been an important part of my life. I'm classically trained, but enjoy a lot of improv, composition, and learning by ear. In addition to piano, I also play flute, percussion, and guitar. When I'm not teaching, I like to play on my church's worship team or jam with my friends. I also enjoy biking, crafting, and playing board games!
